Sibling Rivalry

Okay, don't let the pictures fool you!  It looks like Jackson is sooo happy to be a big brother and in these two moments he is.  However,  his mood can change in the blink of an eye!!
Brothers getting along!
Now, when I saw Jackson telling Charlie about all of his cars I thought it was so sweet.  I ran from the kitchen into my room to grab my camera to capture this precious moment and in the time it took me to do that it had turned ugly!  Jack was soo mad that Charlie touched one of his cars! (Granted, it was Jackson fault for putting them so close to him, but he was mad all the same!) It went from sweet Jack telling him all about his Doc car to crazy Jack yelling at him for the sporadic jerk of his leg that made him touch Doc.  How dare Charlie touch his car!

Same thing happened in this picture.  I ran to get my camera to get a pic of Jackson reading Hop on Pop to Charlie (it was so cute because he has the book memorized so he was actually getting the story right) and when I got back to take the picture he was yelling at Charlie for touching the book!  Poor Charlie, he just can't get it right.

Jack also gets quite angry if he is crying and Charlie decides to join in....he yells at him "Hey, you can't cry, I am crying right now!"  What do I have to look forward to in the future?!?!

Oh, goodness. That's so funny--especially about the no-crying-when-I'm-crying. I think the same thing when Clara starts to cry when I'm already crying. :)

You're a good mom, though, for letting Charlie have fun on the floor. I keep thinking Clara will somehow kill Jonathan if I let him play on the floor. I should lighten up, though, or the poor kid will never roll over or anything.

I feel your pain on the baby grunting and snorting, by the way. We recently shipped Jonathan out to the living room with a space heater because I couldn't sleep with the noises! Good luck. :)

Welcome to the world of raising boys! It's hilarious and entertaining--but you will see that they will be the best of buds! Don't get me wrong--they still will drive each other nuts and be at each other's throats, but there is something about brothers that will bond them forever!

That is so funny and made me laugh out loud! Too cute! I love that Jackson thinks that Charlie is doing it on purpose.

Ahh, and the sibling rivalry begins. It's so weird, isn't it? How they're being so sweet one moment and then such overbearing, bossy bullies the next? I hate to tell you, but it doesn't end anytime soon, so you just have to really enjoy the good moments to balance out all of the "mom, he took my toy and won't give it back", "Mom, he touched me, AGAIN!", "Mom, he's not listening to me!", "Mom, he just hit me!", and well, you get the idea... :)

I love that Charlie isn't allowed to cry at the same time as Jackson. Oh, it happens! Just sit back and laugh. . .because it is either laugh or cry. . .
