Fall Soccer 2010

We asked Jackson if he wanted to play T-ball or soccer this season and he said soccer. So, we signed him up with the same kids he played with last year, and the season started this last Saturday.
Action shot! This was warming up before the game. He really has grown to love soccer and it makes it so much better that one of his best friends is on the team too.
Last year his team was called "Lightening". This year, the kids all voted on "The Fire Breathing Dragons!" I like how their uniforms are the color of fire!
Yeah, this kid landed on his foot. Oh, and he has been #6 for two seasons in a row, I think it's a sign!
Jackson and his best friend Alec. These boys have so much fun together. They just giggle non stop. They are in the same preschool class and primary class so they get to see each other quite a lot. It works out nicely because Alec has a brother Charlie's age.
Charlie chuggin' the water. It was a hot day!!
Waiting for their turn to play. The coach from last season brought the nice umbrella in the background. It was great, it kept the boys sheltered from the sun and gave them a cool place to wait. I am gonna get one myself since we would use it year round in this place we like to call a desert.

First day of school!

Jackson started Pre-K about a month ago. He is going to the same teacher he had last year, only this year he will be on a three day schedule. He was very excited about the school year. Especially since one of his best friends is in his class. I am excited that he loves his teacher and that he looks forward to going every other day.
He insisted on wearing his backpack as he ate his breakfast. Mr. Cool.
He's such a good lookin' kid. Charlie and I enjoy our three mornings a week together. On Wednesdays we go to a music class to keep ourselves entertained.
Close up, with glasses.
Outside the classroom. We love that Jackson's school is literally 1 minute down the street. We know his teacher from our church and she is wonderful. She converted her garage into the perfect little classroom.
Off to a great start. My little guy is getting so big! He will go to Kindergarten next year which already makes me want to cry!

Yeeeeee-haaaaawwwwwww!

Giddy-up Pardner! My parents bought the kids cowboy boots. It was so cute when they all had them on and were stomping around the deck!
Charlie is very happy about his boots. As is Brookie!
Love these little cow pokes!
These kids have so much fun together! You can tell which ones are mine by their pasty white skin.
We laughed hysterically at Isaiah's cowboy pose! Brookie just thought she was one of the boys with her shirt off and Jack refused to take his off! It's probably a good thing, we would have been blinded by white skin!
Nana and Papa had to get theirs on too. I accidently cut Char out of this picture. By the way Papa is saying "Yee haaww!" Hence the funny look on his face.
Cowboy UP!
I have no idea who came up with this pose but we thought it was pretty funny. Nana and Papa look pretty uncomfortable.

We had such a good time in Boise hanging out with everyone. The kids ran around every night like wild monkeys while we sat on the deck watching them and laughing! We came home exhausted.

Splish! Splash! More Boise fun!

Our 2nd day in Boise we loaded up all the kids and went to the pool. It was a warm day (well warm is a relative term. I don't swim unless it is 110 degrees or more! It was like 95 so a little chilly for me to dip into the pool). But it was nice to let them cool off a bit. Here are Koen and Isaiah up front and Jack swimming around in the background.
My little skinny boy playing in the water.
I always forget that I have a zoom!
Gabe and Brooke peeking out of the pool and Charlie is in the background.
Charlie loves to lay on his stomach in the pool. He likes to think he's a whale.
Auntie Heather had to dive in the pool with her swim suit cover on due to an unfortunate accident with my 3 year old niece. Thankfully, Heather got to Brooke in time to pull her up out of the water after she had been struggling under for about 20 seconds. After her heroic act even Charlie wanted to swim with her and she took him all around the pool. He was even brave enough to jump to her and of course, I didn't get any pictures of that.
The whole clan, including Grandma Jane. Despite the incident with Brooklan it was a good time had by all.

Summer Fun!

And........we're back! I guess we were having so much fun this summer that I just didn't get around to posting a whole lot! So here is what we have been up to. All out of order of course!

The boys and I took a trip to Boise to hang out with my family for a week. We had such a fun time. The boys couldn't get enough of their cousins and they were all joined at the hip the entire time. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to hit the Idaho State Fair!
Koen and Jack had a great time feeding the animals.
Charlie was just fine looking from afar! He is not a fan of any animal up close, but he loves them far away.
Isaiah and the boys checking out a mini pony.
We were just in time to milk a cow! We had to force Jack to do it because he thought it was absolutely disgusting.
Cute kid!
Next to the big bull, or whatever the heck this thing is.
The kids had a blast riding all of the rides.
Jackson's face kept going from complete terror to laughing his head off. He was holding on to the bar so every time the coaster jerked, his head would hit the darn thing. It was pretty funny.
A look of "uh-oh, what have I gotten myself into?"
Laughing hysterically!
They Dumbo ride was a big hit!
Isaiah and Brooklan.
Another roller coaster with Auntie getting a close up!
Weird!
The boat ride, with Koen, Brooke, Gabe, and Jackson.
How cute!
Havin' fun.
Isaiah riding the big roller coaster that none of us were brave enough to go on with him!

*More pictures to come so come back soon!!
