I got Saturday morning all to myself! No kiddos, no whining, no negotiating, no changing diapers, ahhh it was heaven! I drove up to Phoenix to see a friend and get my hair cut and colored. While I was away, Matt had planned a fabulous day for the boys!

On Wednesday of last week Matt told Jack that while I was gone they could weed the front yard! One might think that a three year old would throw a monster tantrum just at the suggestion of weeding, however, not Jackson. For some reason this kid loves to weed. We heard about it all week: "Mom, is it time to weed yet?"

So Jackson and Matt took some bonding time and pulled up all the weeds in our rocky front yard. All the while, poor Charlie was missing out and was down for his nap! Hmm...I need to take more mornings to myself, not only did I get a break from being a mom, but I came home to a nicely weeded house! (Not to mention Matt cleaned up the inside of the house too!)

A day to yourself - ahhh, those are precious moments, to be sure. Being a mom is wonderful, but even MORE so when you get a break now and then and can come back all refreshed! :)
Its nice that Jack likes to weed. Koen decided that he loves to pick all of the heads to my spring tulips and daisies. ARG!! They are arranged nicely in a flower pot. I think he meant well but not I have a flowerless yard. :(
it's amazing what husbands accomplish when they are alone. always makes me feel bad for how little I get done! but not bad enough to not enjoy how productive they can be.
now its time to come up and visit me.
Send Jackson to me! You can throw Matt in too, if you want. I need some good weeders, and if Jack actually likes it I want him on my team!
