First day of school, take 2!

It didn't take us long to get unpacked and settled (thanks to wonderful in-laws) and since the holiday season is over I needed to find Jackson a preschool. My main reason for sending him is that he is so shy and reserved around other people it is my hope that preschool will open him up and help him to come out of his shell. There are three ladies in our neighborhood who teach preschool, which I was thrilled about because we were paying an arm and a leg for him to go to school in Tucson. While it was worth it for the social interaction, I was so happy to find more affordable options here in Mesa. So, we chose Ms. Chris. She is a former teacher who has converted her garage into a cute little classroom. There are seven kids in the class and Jackson is one of 5 boys.

He was a little reluctant to go, but upon arrival was happy to be there. (He's got freckles just like his mama!)
Silly face.
And since it is a block over the commute is about 5 minutes so that gives Charlie and me a full two hours to ourselves. When I picked him up the first day he said he had a great time and was excited to go back, we'll give it about a month before he starts whining and complaining that he doesn't want to go anymore.
