The Park

Jackson's teacher needed a picture of Jack for a project they were working on and since all of my pics are on the computer I took the boys to the park to take some pictures. Beware, there are many, many pictures in this post.

He's such a reverent child, always has his arms crossed. Charlie is so stinkin' cute these days. His funny little personality has us laughing every day.
Jackson was trying to cross the little ladder that looks like a rainbow. He was very focused.
Oh and don't knock the Gilligan hat. This kid burns after 10 mins in the sun and it was hot that day.
And yes, these pictures are backwards, but I am too lazy to move them around to make them right.

Wanna know how to get a four year old to nap? Tell him he can do it in a tent. It only worked the first day, much to my disappointment.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Earlier this month we drove to California to see my brother in a concert. We stayed with Matt's parents and met my parents there as well. On Saturday we all took the boys to Disneyland. And I must say, I was worried about getting in late the night before and then getting up early to make it to D-land at a decent hour. But the boys did so well. They loved Disneyland and were perfect little angels all day long! (Not joking!)

Charlie kept himself entertained while we waited, at times, 45 minutes in line. This little guy was such a trooper. We took him on some rides that he was just not sure about. Pirates of the Caribbean just about did him in. He was not happy with us for taking him on that! However, he wasn't too happy with Small World either.

Poor little guy FINALLY fell asleep late in the day. He didn't sleep for long and was not happy to wake up and find that mom had left him to go on a ride.
Sweet little boy. One would think that one would take a ton of pictures on their children's first visit to this magical place, however, this is all we took! We will have to get the 100's of pictures that Gramma and Nana and Papa took and add more to this post! It was such a fun day. After walking around and waiting in long lines all day, around 8 that night Jackson said, "Okay, I am done, I am ready to go home" he climbed in Charlie's stroller and was asleep before we left the park. The kid was tuckered out, but loved every minute of his first trip to Disneyland.

So, I guess I'm a soccer mom now!

I am happy to say that Jack's first soccer experience started out MUCH better than his first t-ball experience! I am sure that it helps that all the kids on his team are kids from our neighborhood and he sees some of them quite regularly.

Jack did start out a little timidly, but thanks to his wonderfully patient coach, it only took him a short amount of time to open up and get involved in the game.

Yeah, so this game was a little slow paced at times! This is Jack and Nate. Nate basically carried the whole team on his back! He was a little fireball out there! I guess it helps that he watches and plays with his older brother.
